About Dr. McDaniel
Scott McDaniel, MD is a fellowship-trained interventional pain management specialist. He has been practicing interventional pain management in the Chicago suburbs since 2016, having safely performed thousands of procedures. He has been recognized by patients as a thoughtful and compassionate physician and by his peers as a young leader in the field of pain management.
Dr. McDaniel grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated summa cum laude from Xavier University. He went on to attend Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, graduating in 2010. He then completed residency in Anesthesiology in the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Most recently, Dr. McDaniel completed an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. McDaniel prides himself on bringing the expertise and quality of care provided at the downtown institutions at which he trained to the suburbs of Chicago. Dr. McDaniel has particular interest in minimally invasive treatment of spinal stenosis, new technologies in neuromodulation, and patient safety.
Dr. McDaniel has presented at numerous national anesthesia and pain medicine conferences. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Pain Society, North American Neuromodulation Society, and the Spine Intervention Society.
