About Dr. Pranusha Naidu
Pranusha Naidu, MD is a board-certified anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained interventional pain management specialist whose primary goal is to improve the quality of life of her patients suffering from chronic pain. Dr. Naidu grew up in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. She then attended a direct medical program at St. Louis University in Missouri to complete her undergraduate and medical school education. She returned home to Chicago to complete an anesthesiology residency and interventional pain medicine fellowship at the highly interventional program at Rush University Medical Center.
Dr. Naidu places importance on the unique nature of pain and its impact on patients’ physical, emotional, and psychological health as well as their functional status. Dr. Naidu takes time to understand her patients’ complex stories, build a relationship based on trust, and provide a sense of comfort. Her interests include injection therapy, neuromodulation including dorsal root ganglion and spinal cord stimulation, interspinous spacers to treat spinal stenosis, and minimally invasive sacroiliac joint fusion. Through these approaches, Dr. Naidu hopes to help her patients suffering from pain return to their previously enjoyable activities.
Dr. Naidu strongly believes that combining the use of minimally invasive procedures along with a multidisciplinary approach to pain management will provide patients with better functional status and improve their overall well-being. Dr. Naidu enjoys staying active by running and attending workout classes. She spends time with friends and family, whether it be traveling or exploring the Chicago restaurant scene.
